LIGHT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Hi, I’m Luke.
The heart behind Lumi Counselling is simple: I want children, teens, and families to feel safe, supported, and understood.
For the past 18 years, I’ve worked in schools, community organisations, and clinical settings, always with the same goal: helping young people and their families face challenges with practical strategies and a sense of hope.
My journey has taken me across Australia and the United States, walking alongside families through seasons of anxiety, conflict, and big life transitions. Those experiences have shaped the way I listen, encourage, and support; always with the belief that every story matters.
Lumi exists to bring light into the tougher moments and help families move from just ‘getting by’ to truly thriving.

I’d love to walk this with you; we’re in this together.

Who do I help?
At Lumi Counselling, I’m here for children, teens, and families who are doing their best but feeling stuck. Some days it’s tears at the dinner table, some days it’s slammed doors, and some days it’s just silence you don’t know how to break. You don’t have to face it alone.

Counselling with Lumi isn’t clinical or cold. It’s practical, relational, and grounded in real life.
We create a safe space where children feel seen, young people feel empowered, and parents feel supported; families can move forward together.
Because when your child or youth shines, your whole family shines!
"So many professionals gave us generic advice, but Luke listened first. He gave us strategies that fit our son’s strengths instead of forcing him to change who he is. The difference has been incredible."
- Jen L: Mother of 7 year-old boy with autism
"Our daughter’s anxiety had taken over her life, but with Luke’s gentle approach and practical strategies, she’s smiling again and we finally have our girl back. We are so grateful!"
- Pete and Rose K: Parents of 14-year old girl with anxiety
